The 2026 Jeffcoat Hybridizer Award Nominees

Each year, ADS Region 15 offers the opportunity for all hybridizers to nominate one of their best cultivars for the Jeffcoat Hybridizer Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize our region's advances in hybridizing and to encourage a new level of achievement. Originally known as the Lambert Award (established in the late 1970's), this award serves two purposes: first, to recognize advances in hybridizing, and second, to encourage regional hybridizers. Sponsored by the Low Country Daylily Society since 2008, the award is now named in recognition of the hybridizing contributions of Jim and Peggy Jeffcoat and their outstanding service to the mission of ADS and Region 15.
Nominations for this award are made by the hybridizers themselves.
Official Rules: If you have not won the coveted Jeffcoat Hybridizer Award in the past 3 years, you are eligible to submit a registered cultivar from the last 10 years. In addition, cultivars may be (re) nominated for 3 consecutive years in total.
